What's New for 2011 Cosmetic Surgery?

Everyone wants to know what’s new, what’s hot and what’s coming in Cleveland cosmetic surgery for 2011. After polling leading plastic surgeons in Cleveland and throughout the country, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery offers the following 2011 cosmetic surgery predictions:

  1. 2011 Cosmetic Surgery PredictionsFace lifts. The improving economy is expected to increase demand for face lifts and other facial rejuvenation surgeries, including eyelid surgery, brow lifts, neck lifts and nose reshaping. After making do with Botox and fillers while money was tight, Cleveland cosmetic surgery patients are ready to embrace more extensive facial rejuvenation procedures.
  2. Injectables. The popularity of injectable cosmetic tissue fillers like Restylane-Perlane, Juvederm Ultra, Radiesse and Sculptra is predicted to remain high. Watch for special offers from Cleveland plastic surgeons.
  3. Body contouring. National emphasis on the health hazards of obesity is expected to increase demand for tummy tucks, arm lifts, thigh lifts and posterior body lifts to remove excess skin after dramatic weight loss.
  4. Breast implants. As their bodies start to age and sag, Baby Boomers are expected to drive up demand for breast implant replacement and breast lifts.
  5. Liposuction. Liposuction will continue to be the No. 1 choice for fat reduction; however, new technology with faster healing times is already driving more patients to choose cutting-edge techniques such as laser-guided Smartlipo TriPlex. Watch for the development of new non-invasive fat-removal techniques that zap, freeze or laser away unwanted fat.
