British Woman Holds Record for Most Cosmetic Surgery Procedures
Many people were shocked last year when
The Hills actress Heidi Montag admitted to having 10 cosmetic surgery procedures in one day. However, Heidi’s extreme body makeover seems like nothing compared to the 52 cosmetic surgery procedures that 55-year-old Cindy Jackson has undergone to improve her appearance. The Ohio woman, who has lived in London since the 1970s, holds the Guinness World Record for most cosmetic surgeries. She has undergone 14 full-scale
plastic surgeries and dozens of other procedures including 5
face lifts, liposuction, 2 eyelid surgeries,
Botox and cosmetic surgeries to her breasts, buttocks, hands, knees, stomach, legs, cheeks, ears and nose. By her own admission, Cindy has little flesh left that hasn’t been modified by plastic surgery.
In an interview with ABC News, Cindy, who has worked as a model, singer and writer, appears to be an attractive and self-assured young woman. She said life with a critical father and a derogatory comment made by a boy when she was 14 sparked her desire to change her appearance. “It was like being in the wrong body and wrong face, and I felt that very much and wanted to change it,” she told ABC in discussing her reasons for undergoing so many cosmetic surgeries.
Unlike Heidi, Cindy has taken a slower approach to transformation, gradually making changes to her body. She told ABC News that she underwent each procedure to create a more youthful and beautiful appearance. “I feel like a young spirit and I don’t want to look in the mirror and see an old face. I feel this is me. This is the way I should look.”
Cosmetic surgery can improve appearance and by doing so increase self-esteem and self-confidence; but it is a decision that deserves careful consideration and should be fully discussed with your board-certified Cleveland cosmetic surgeon.
