More Men Finding Value in Cleveland Plastic Surgery
More men are recognizing the benefits of Cleveland cosmetic surgery. Society’s increased acceptance of plastic surgery, coupled with a highly competitive job market has more men turning to Cleveland cosmetic surgery to give them a more youthful appearance or correct a flaw in their appearance. Driven by the aging Baby Boomer generation, more than 750,000 cosmetic surgery procedures were performed on men in 2010. While men accounted for only 8% of total cosmetic surgery patients last year, the number of men seeking cosmetic surgery procedures has been increasing steadily over the past 5 years and is expected to continue rising.
The most popular male cosmetic surgery procedures are Smartlipo Tri-Plex laser-guided liposuction, rhinoplasty (nose surgery), eyelid surgery, breast reduction and ear surgery with increasing male interest in Cleveland face lifts. Last year, male facelifts increased by 14%, posting the greatest gain in the male cosmetic surgery market. Ear tucks were the second most popular male cosmetic surgery procedure in 2010. More men are also requesting non-surgical cosmetic procedures such as Botox to erase crow’s feet and smooth away the deep facial furrows that advertise their age.
In a recent study published in the February 2011 issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the professional medical journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the majority of face-lift patients surveyed said their procedure made them appear 12 years younger. Seven months after their surgery, 97% of face-lift patients said their cosmetic surgery results met or exceeded their expectations. Five years later, the majority of survey participants was still pleased with the results of their face lift and would recommend Cleveland cosmetic surgery to their friends.
