How Cleveland Cosmetic Surgery Can Lend to Your Career Success
Beauty may be only skin deep, but apparently that’s enough in the world of business. Over the course of your career, your appearance can have a huge impact on your earning potential.

A new book by University of Texas economist Daniel Hamermesh, Beauty Pays: Why Attractive People Are More Successful, takes an interesting look at the connection between business success and physical attractiveness. According to Hamermesh, an attractive person can expect to earn an average of $230,000 more during his lifetime than an unattractive coworker!
In a survey of 1,774 men and women, Hamermesh found that men who received high marks for attractiveness (4 or 5 out of 5) earned 17% more than men who were only ranked 1 or 2. Women who sizzled at the top of the hotness meter (4s and 5s) earned an average 12% more than their plain Jane counterparts who were only ranked 1 or 2. While beauty is said to be in the eye of the beholder, it is interesting to note that most of us seem to have the same criteria for beauty. Of survey participants, 54% were identically ranked by all scorers.
Turning convention on its ear, the survey found that women don’t have a lock on vanity. Among survey participants having an attractive appearance was judged equally important by both women and men; however, appearance was discovered to play a bigger role in male business success and have a greater impact on male earnings. And it’s not just the individual who suffers at the hand of fate. Hamermesh estimates that appearance discrimination costs the U.S. economy $20 billion per year.
Fortunately, we don’t have to leave your career in the hands of fate. Cleveland cosmetic surgery can improve your appearance and give you a boost up the corporate ladder. Why limit your earning potential when a little cosmetic surgery can put more money in your pocket?
