Will You Still Be YOU after a Cleveland Facelift?

Cleveland-Facelift-Expectations“Will I still look like me?” That is a commonly asked question when patients talk to Dr. Poblete about having a facelift.

Most Cleveland cosmetic surgery patients who elect to have a facelift enhancement want to rejuvenate and revitalize their appearance. They want to get rid of the slack skin and wrinkles that make them look and feel old. They want to look as young and active on the outside as they feel on the inside. BUT they still want to look like themselves. Cleveland facelift patients want their friends and family to recognize them but think, “Wow, she looks fabulous!”

Expert Cleveland plastic surgeons understand their patients’ needs to still “be me” but at the same time “be a better me.”

This desire to be the same yet different is one of the reasons Dr. Poblete considers the pre-surgery consultation such an important part of the Cleveland cosmetic surgery experience. People who decide to undergo cosmetic surgery are driven as much by emotional concerns as physical ones. Dr. Poblete uses the pre-surgery consultation to discuss appearance goals with his patients, explain available cosmetic surgery procedures that can be used to achieve the patient’s goals, and develop a personalized treatment plan for each individual patient.

Many patients who consult Dr. Poblete about a facelift still have an old-fashioned view of this cosmetic procedure. Facelifts have evolved from the procedures that were available 10 and even 5 years ago. Today, facelift surgeons frequently use a combination of surgical techniques and focused liposuction to tighten muscles and tissue in the deeper layers of the skin. Neck lifts, eyelid surgery and liposuction may be combined with a facelift to achieve the patient’s appearance goals.
