Personal Mommy Makeover Account from WK

"I have always had a struggle with weight and body image since my early teens. However, I gained and lost 65lbs with my first child and 40 with the second. I worked hard for years to get to pre-baby weight. I was finally happy on the scale but not in the mirror, it seemed the more I lost the more handfuls of skin and flab I could grab.

My husband told me to go get it taken care of and have my breasts lifted too. (Wink, wink) he is a man after all. I put it off since most of the information I had read said I needed implants and I just wasn't ready, until my husband took a picture of me in a bathing suit and I noticed how bad my breasts sagged and how you could see my chest bones, I looked like a 90 year old woman, which isn't bad except I'm only 37.

"I finally went to see Dr. Poblete who came highly recommended by a friend. To my surprise he informed me I would not need implants and that I would be very satisfied with a full tummy tuck and breast lift."

I wavered back and forth worrying that I'd be smaller and my husband would be disappointed, since I think he was looking forward to the implants. Dr. Poblete assured us both we would be happy and if not come back and see him in three months for implants.

I think my husband was more excited about the whole procedure than I was. He never missed an appointment and was so supportive, so was the entire staff at Dr. Poblete's office. It seemed like every week I was pestering Donna with a new question or scenario or rescheduling appointments and dates. She politely answered all my questions and put up with all of my “What Ifs."

Sometimes you wonder how people at the hospital will look at you "having plastic surgery" how vain, right? NO!! They were all so wonderful and supportive I couldn't believe it. I had to stay overnight since I had a full tummy tuck but the hospital was nice and I was out first thing in the morning. Donna checked everything over and I went home to rest for a few days. Honestly, it was a bit uncomfortable and I really needed someone there to help but after two or three days I was getting back to myself. Within a week of my surgery I went back to work. Honestly, in the first two weeks I was a little scared and wondered if the swelling would ever go down. It was completely gone by week #4 and exactly 4 weeks from the day of my surgery I was in a bikini on the beaches of Marco Island, Fla.

I have never felt so good about looking in the mirror at myself. All of my hard work finally showed and Dr. Poblete made it possible. My breasts are lifted and fuller and no longer hide in my armpits when I lay in bed at night. Both my husband and I are happy.

"I am so thrilled to wear a bikini for the first time in over 20 years. I have lots of summer time fun planned and I can not pass a bathing suit rack with bikinis on it. It would simply seem wrong to hide in a one piece now.

Thank you Dr. Poblete, Donna & Paula for such a great experience, and putting up with all my questions."
