"You look tired!" well-meaning friends told me. It was not what I wanted to hear, especially after eight hours of sleep. But looking in the mirror, I had to admit that my droopy eyelids did make me look tired. I'd had a rhinoplasty about ten years ago, and loved the fact that I did not have to live my entire life with the large nose I'd been born with. I had long believed that, along with proper diet and exercise, cosmetic surgery can help maintain a more youthful appearance.

Understanding that all surgery carries risk, I knew the skill and experience of the surgeon would be a primary factor in determining a good outcome for any procedure. After meeting with several excellent doctors, I chose Dr. Poblete at Accentuate Within. I had heard through acquaintances that his work in the surgery room was "like an artist."

I was very impressed with my first meeting of Dr. Poblete and his staff. The office is bright and cheerful, with a beautiful aquarium and fish. I was warmly greeted by the receptionist Paula, who I have learned always has a smile. Dr. Poblete gave me his full attention as he discussed and evaluated my options, and a coronal brow lift was decided upon. Donna, Dr. Poblete's efficient and knowledgeable nurse, handled all the arrangements, and was always available if I had questions.

I was very happy with the results of my brow lift, and the incisions healed quickly.

Three years later I had a face and neck lift, again by Dr. Poblete. I was thrilled that I was able to use "MAC" or monitored anesthetic care, and did not use general anesthesia. MAC was something I had investigated, but each person must discuss their own needs with Dr. Poblete.

The result of my face and neck lift are a joy to me. In the months that followed, there were feelings of tightness and tautness as I healed, but those were great feelings for me. My previously saggy neck feels firm and I am very happy with my new look. I feel that I look more like I did ten years ago.
